Grass, Hedges, Borders and Overgrown Garden Clearances
Work That Suits the Season
Growth here runs hard from March to October and barely stops over a mild winter. Regular cuts through the season, hedges taken back before the bird-nesting window closes, and leaves and borders dealt with in autumn before the first real downpour.
Timing matters for hedges in particular. Nesting season runs roughly March to August, and it is an offence to damage an active nest, so heavy hedge work is best done either side of that window. Anything urgent in between gets checked first.
Garden work is often booked alongside exterior painting, since both want the same dry spell. There is a full seasonal rundown in the Northern Ireland maintenance checklist.

Overgrown Gardens & Clearances
Gardens that have got away on you, end-of-tenancy clearances and pre-sale tidy-ups. Brambles, self-seeded growth and old garden waste cleared and the space handed back usable.
Pre-sale is worth mentioning separately. A tidy garden and fresh paintwork change the first photograph an estate agent takes, and that photograph decides whether people click. It is one of the cheapest things you can do before a property goes on the market. Landlords turning a property around will find more on the landlord maintenance page.
